A Joker Above A King.

No Love for The Joker
By
Anthony Labson

What makes a Joker more of a man
Than a king?

A king has hundreds of people
that serve him, prepare his food,
clothes him, cleans him,
and gets everything he wants.

Covered with jewelry, surrounded
by stone walls and steel.
He can start wars with whomever
And take other people’s land.

The people he conquers become his slaves
and he uses glory to explain chaos.
For that his name will go into the record books
and generations will remember his name.

A king’s ambition for power and the
preservation of his legacy is his only concern
even at the expense of the people “He” serves.
A Joker doesn’t need all this.

All a joker asks for is a smile
and he is willing to get it by his own
expense if necessary.
For that, you call him a fool.

Batman Arkham Origins Review

First off, I know I'm not suppose to take sides but I like to make it clear when it comes to DC Comics, Superman is my favorite. There are so many reasons why but this post isn't about that, it's about Batman's new game Arkham Origins and I have to say...I was impressed. I'm a big fan of the Arkham series but I was very skeptical of this edition for various reasons. In the end with familiar settings, new villains and awesome cinematic sequences, this game gets a solid 9 out of 10. Warner Bros. Studios should be very proud of themselves for pulling off what many gamers would consider a complete bust.
Batman: Arkham Origins is a game made as a prequel to the popular games Batman Arkham Asylum and it's sequel Batman Arkham City. It's set on Christmas Eve and Batman is called to rise to a city that is just realizing he exists but is unaware of his intentions. His famous friend and ally Jim Gordon is a captain and not a commissioner and the criminal kingpin of Gotham City is a man known as Black Mask. A man with literally a Black Mask covering his face concealing his true identity and has an infinite amount of resources with the entire underworld at his command. Well after some time, the notorious kingpin has had enough of Batman's interference and hires world class assassins to take him out.
When this game was first announced it received heavy criticism for several reasons, one being that it was a prequel and the other that it wasn't going to be made by same company that made Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Like anything new that's made by a different copy, people generally are going to hate it, I mean come on who wants something not made by the original creator? True gamers have to take a leap of faith especially if it's with a beloved icon like the dark knight. In this case, the leap makes a clean landing but their are some issues that others may have a problem with.
The one problem I had with the game is they changed the some of the controls on the game. Now nothing major if you don't use gadgets during combat but I do so I found it difficult. The combat controls are the same but when it comes to activating gadgets or throwing batarang, the controls are switched. Instead of using the R1 command button you will be using the R2 button and L1 is how you activate detective mode. Beyond that, everything is the same but again, it'll be confusing at first.
The other thing people aren't too fond of from my understanding is the over used Riddler challenges that are present and the new faces on board. There are familiar villains in the game such as Deadshot, DeathStroke, Firefly, and Bane but their are new villains that make their debut such as Shiva, Copperhead and Black Mask. This tactic I think works best for the new game because it was getting boring always having the Joker as the main villain. There are other great points about this game that will bring gamers to the stores to buy it.
The map is much larger now compared to it's previous game Arkham City because in that game it was one part of Gotham, in this game, you have all of Gotham at your disposal. The puzzles are much more difficult and the criminal boss fights are more difficult than any other in the previous games. As mentioned before the cinematic sequences that take place before game play are amazingly done. I literally thought I was watching a movie before the game. Overall the replay value is fairly high and I only wish this game was 3D compatible because of the snow setting and it's awesome in 3D.
This game is highly entertaining and stays true to the Arkham saga. It's money well spent and I would recommend it to anyone. Again, I'm a Superman fan and I loved playing this game and hope that there will be a continuation of the saga and better when it's time to make a Superman game. I hope Warner Bros. keeps the same idea going with that like they have with Batman. Batman Arkham Origins has a great story and keeps gamers playing even after the story is completed with familiar online modes and challenges. Congrats to Warner Bros. on a job well done.

Renaissance Festival.

The Florida Renaissance Festival is coming soon and it's hands down one of my favorite events to go to. I met someone last year who was a performer at the Florida Renaissance Festival and we clicked immediately. For those of you that don't know, the Renaissance Festival is an annual event that happens around the beginning of the year and in my opinion, highly entertaining. If you have the opportunity to go to one then do yourself a favor and go. It's a festival at a local park where people dress and act like their in the Renaissance period. What do I mean by that?
I mean there are beautiful women who dress like maiden, men who dress like lords and knights, and there are fun activities ranging from archery to ax throwing and hilarious events like the famous Mud Show and Professional Jousting. Then there's the food. If you've ever been to an amusement park and they have those giant turkey legs for sale, well the Renaissance Festival has even bigger and it's all cooked like it would be cooked during that period. Actors perform with perfect English accents and for those who sing, Grammy award winning performances. You will waste a good $100 by attending but it will be worth it whether you're familiar with the Renaissance or your just going with friends.
I was both when I went the first time last year and while it was expensive for my budget with the price of tickets, food and tipping the performers, I'm glad I went. I could honestly say I can't remember the last time I had a smile that needed to be surgically removed. I went during Pirate week and had fun I only thought I could have at Universal Studios or Disney World. If I could afford it, I would've gone every week for each theme. Again if you've never experienced this awesome event I will explain a big feature.
It's not just for one moment in Renaissance history, they have several themes celebrating a specific period. The themes range from Pirates, Celtic, and there is a new them inspired by the popular HBO series Game of Thrones. It's money worth spent and if you go please bring enough to tip the performers because like a waitress, it's one of their main source of incomes. It's a terrific event that even kids can get involved in and participate in certain events. Just be ready to do a lot of walking because it's in a park and being down here in Florida, it's going to be hot on some days. I can remember back when I was heavier I needed a couple bottles of water but that isn't the case for me anymore.
This year I'm going to be ready and whether you're in Florida or any area where there is a Renaissance Festival available, do yourself a favor and go. It's an experience that you have to have especially if you have money to burn. Even if you don't, all you need is a Turkey leg and a ticket then you'll be set for the day. Just set a few dollars aside for when you're at an event and the performers ask for tips because again, that's income for them that they need and they deserve it. I didn't see one bad performance at all during that day. If you go and say you didn't have a good time, I'll think you don't know what fun really is.

School Shootings

I was attending my 2nd period class when Columbine happened. For those who may not know, Columbine High School was the sight of a massacre that took the lives of 12 students and one teacher. The crime was committed by two deranged teenagers who took their anger out on innocent people and then turned the guns on themselves. This event to me was the start of a chain reaction that would spark a wave of other shootings that happen over the years. It seems no matter what we do, schools can never be safe.
Schools are generally safe but there's always that one day where unseen danger finds it's way into a hallway of innocent children and they are the ones who pay the price. An incident is always popping up in one area or another. Last year was the worst incident since Columbine and by that, I meant the Newtown incident in Connecticut. 20 children attending elementary school were violently gunned down along with six adults, some teachers and staff members. The shooter, much like the ones in Columbine would take his own life never receiving justice.
Now just this week, a student in a Nevada middle school fatally shot and killed math teacher Mike Landsberry who was a war vet and a hero. The student came to school after a week long break from school with a semi-automatic weapon and opened fire on the teacher and wounding two other boys in the school. Following the same pattern, the shooter too would also use the gun on himself to avoid spending the rest of his life in jail. Mike Landsberry served this country serving tours in Afghanistan and was a devastating loss to his family. Why is all this happening?
Now if you are automatically thinking gun control I would like to stop you right there. Whether your for gun control or not isn't my concern. Let's all agree on one simply fact, if a person is determined to kill someone, they will do it with or without a gun. September 11th, 2001 a group of four men managed to cause the deaths of over 3,000 Americans and not one bullet was fired. Gun control is not the issue, all it will do is make some maniac find another way to make his sick fantasy a reality.
If you want my honest opinion then teach people how to spot danger before it happens, the truth is that's all we really can do. Trying to make it harder or easier for people to get guns is irrelevant because like I said, people will do what they can to kill you. If you see someone that may be mentally unstable or just overall a shady character, report it to the police. If your wrong about your assumptions then you apologize and try to make things right again but nothing should be more important than the preservation of life. If you see somebody that may be trouble then don't keep it to yourself, let somebody know.
We've lost to many fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers and sisters. We will never be completely safe but the more we keep people informed on how to spot danger, the more lives we will save. Teach people how to spot people who look as though they have evil on their minds and to look at their bodies to see if they're hiding a weapon. It doesn't stop with gun control or invasion of privacy. It stops when everyone learns how to look and when to speak.

Who You Are and What You Have.

Growing up, we make a lot of decisions that affect our lives. The major one is who we are going to be in our lives and that's what the subject of his entry is about. Growing up I knew I just wanted to have a life worth living. I wanted excitement, a mark to leave on people long after I'm gone, and to create a legacy for others to aspire to. The problem with going down this path is you come across people who will like you but may go on to resent you.
You'll befriend them, hang out with them, and maybe even trust them someday but there will be that one friend that becomes envious and the seed of jealousy will take over. They'll think that because you want to move up in life, being around them wasn't good enough for you. They'll believe that you'll forget them once you move on and achieve your dreams while they are still trying to achieve theirs. It's at that moment my friends that you must remind them that just because you want to change the way you live, you don't want to change the way you are or the company you keep around you.
We all want a better life. Some more than others but that doesn't mean that we don't treasure the friends we make along the way. That the company you now have is more important than the people who supported your dreams. Money changes situations but it doesn't change people, it only makes possible the opportunities you didn't have before. Nothing is more important than the people who support you and the bonds that keep you together. The people who only have money in life have the biggest handicap because when that money goes, whose your friend?
I've been blessed for having a balance thanks to the love and dedication of my parents and now I'm standing on my own feet to try and make something of my own dreams. I have friends who have never convinced me to give up or to settle for less. For that my I consider you all family, blood could not make us any closer than we are. The greatest treasure in the world isn't made of gold, jewels or paper. You can't put a price on a helping hand.

Breast Cancer Awareness Poem

What’s Worth Kneeling For?
By
Anthony Labson
I’m full of pride.
I can’t run from a fight
and I won’t shame my name.
I’ll stand ready to die.

I don’t flinch for a blade
and I don’t fear the sound of a bullet.
A knife is just a tool for use or trade
and a gun is nothing without a digit.

I’ve fought enemies
and I’ve even fought a friend.
The fighting never reached its end
and I would think at times I had an injury.

I’ve never really had a reason to fight
but I never could back down.
Now more than ever all I can wear is a frown
because my love is fading from my sight.

She is the best of me
but we didn’t catch her disease in time.
The other life in her heart is mine
So if she goes then I’ll cease to be.

If finally bending my knees saves her
then I do it proudly with no dishonor.
My life without her would just be horror.
I never thought my greatest enemy would be cancer.

No Respect At All!

Rodney Dangerfield always made a joke that he never got any respect even in the world of comedy but there is nothing comical about this joke. Colt's owner Jim Irsay went to social media and publicly criticized Peyton Manning's time with the Colts. Whether this was an effort to throw Peyton off his game or just simply judging years of history, only one fact remains. Jim Irsay was wrong with what he said and now has officially made the Colts appear to be the bad guys in the upcoming battle between the Denver Broncos and the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday night.
The negative comments he made towards Manning, to sum it up were comparing Manning to other teams and how they were just as good as the Colts back then but Manning could never get the team to as many Super Bowls as say the New England Patriots or the New York Giants. Backlash has come from every where, even former Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy whom was with Manning most during that time came out and spoke against the owner for his choice of words. He strongly believed that the Colts would not be the power house they were without Peyton Manning's contributions.
Peyton Manning took the Colts to a Super Bowl victory and back one year but would lose to the New Orleans Saints. He spent most of his football career in that city making and breaking records, leaving a giant shoe for current Colt's quarterback Andrew Luck to fill. Peyton Manning is to Indianapolis what Drew Brees is to New Orleans and Tom Brady is to England in terms of quarterbacks that embody the spirit of a team. To speak negatively about that was disrespectful, that's like someone giving me money and then talking smack about how that person made that money to begin with. With Peyton returning to Indianapolis this Sunday, the Colt's owner has made it clear how much he's valued Peyton's contributions.
Peyton Manning made no response to the comments made about him so it's safe to assume he's going to let his actions speak louder than words ever could. Irsay has already dealt with enough negative backlash from the media, Broncos fans and even loyal Colt fans who supported Manning. Whatever the reason for the comments he made, all he probably did was give Peyton some more motivation to win this weekend. This is sure to be a game of the year candidate if it ends up living to the hype and not being a blow out which is what the Broncos have been known for this season. What was suppose to be a sweet home coming is now going to be...an awkward reunion.

Daisy Coleman case Re-Opened

My heart is happy today for a special reason. It's not really the government re-opening and the default crisis over because all they really did was postpone the debt talks till January of next year. Besides, that whole mess should never have happened and it's sad that it had to go that far. The reason I'm happy today is with the news that the case of Daisy Coleman is being re-opened after months of scrutiny by local authorities and prosecutors. For those of you whom may not know what I'm referring to then allow me to explain.
Daisy Coleman is a 14 year old girl who was raped in 2012 by the local high school football superstar in a small town of Missouri and was left on the front door of her home in freezing temperatures. Charges were filed against the one who committed the crime plus an accomplice who recorded the attack during a party Daisy attended where alcohol was available to her. What happened next would not only be an insult to injury but a stain on the American judicial system. The charges would soon be dropped by the local prosecutor and some say it was a cover up to protect the athletes possible professional futures. The worse would not end at that point for poor Daisy.
After reporting the event, the small town in Missouri shunned her and her family believing she was to blame for being raped. Believing she got what she deserved for sneaking out at night to attend a party and drinking alcohol. That she had it coming by dancing with the boys and it's not their fault that she seduced them. While I'll admit she made some mistakes, the fact that a town would blame the victim and save the rapist makes this nothing short of despicable. Daisy would attempt to commit suicide after falling into a deep depression after being forced out of town with her family.
Luckily Daisy is still alive and seeking counseling since the incident and her mother had to find a new job after being fired from being a vet in that town. Their house would be burned down days after abandoning it and nobody was suspected. The mother believes that someone was involved but no charges were ever filed. Now the mother has been trying to piece back together a broken family when all they wanted was a fresh start. The family moved to a previous home they lived in before the father of the family passed away and they moved to what was suppose to be a new beginning.
Unfortunately it only became a darker world for the family but now there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel. A new prosecutor has been assigned and hopefully new charges will be brought to bring these people to justice, if you ask me, it shouldn't stop there. Anyone that would protect a criminal and sacrifice a victim for absolutely no reason other than he's a local celebrity is shameful. Daisy has already expressed joy for the first time in a long time hoping that this will be the first step towards closure.
My purpose in blogging about this is not only to express my personal view about this case but to just also spread awareness about what's going on. Nobody deserves to be raped, I don't care who they are or what they've done. The fact that those boys were local 'celebrities' shouldn't mean anything when it comes to the law. Mainstream celebrities don't get out of trouble with the judicial system, local ones shouldn't be any different. My thoughts and prayers are for Daisy Coleman and her family, it's my sincere wish that they receive justice.

U.S. Default Looming!

Uncharted waters are approaching as the United States comes closer to being in default and thus brings the country back down into economic crisis. Many people are asking themselves what exactly is suppose to happen if the country does go into default and the answer is exactly what I just said. Nobody exactly knows because a scenario like this isn't suppose to happen, this sort of event shouldn't even be necessary. But because of factions that have a controlling factor in the fate of the country, this situation has occurred and now the world waits for a miracle. For those of you whom may not fully understand, let me explain what it means to be in default.
Lets say your one of the millions of Americans in debt up to your eye balls and you suddenly lost your job and had no revenue coming in any time soon. What basically happens is you go to everyone you owe money to and simply pull your pockets inside out to show you have nothing left. That's what it would mean for the country and the repercussions of this would most likely drag the already recovering economy back into a recession. That means more Americans would lose their jobs and companies would be struggling once again. The question some are asking themselves is, who is to blame for this debacle?
The answer, in my opinion, everyone on the hill. Some want to blame President Obama because supposedly he's unwilling to compromise with the Republican controlled House. Others believe it's the Republicans supposedly holding the country hostage until they get their way. Blame whomever you want but the fact is nobody is working with anyone and everyone on that hill is suppose to be working for "our" best interest. Everyone up there swore an oath to protect "our" way of life and to never put it at risk for anything else. Nobody is doing their job up there and that's hurting the American people.
I know I may sound a little angry in this post but maybe that's a good thing. People need to express their anger because again, these people are suppose to be working for us. People need to let their voices be heard because that's one of the greatest things about being an American. A soldier is out there somewhere away from his family risking his or her life so we have the right to voice our opinions. A country that he or she loves and is fighting for while the government is not doing their job while they are making sacrifices to keep them safe, it's insulting.
The Military, Police, Fire Fighters, National Guard, and so on depend on the government to do their jobs so they can get the pay they need to support their families. Despite the mess that's going on, these people keep doing their jobs and keep protecting this nation no matter if their getting paid or not. They don't just "shut down" and that's what makes them heroes, what do you call the people on the hill? I honestly don't know, I just know that they need to get over party interests and start caring about the people's interests. My thoughts are with those affected by the shut down and I pray that default doesn't happen and we can get the federal employees back to work.

Walking Dead Season Begins!

The Walking Dead returns and with it, a revamped cult following for the undead who have been looking for something that brings the zombie apocalypse to life. This show is known for a lot of things and yes, blood and gore is one of them. But the main instrument of it's success is the main villain and here's the kicker. It's not the zombies that we all have to worry about in a zombie apocalypse, it's regular human beings that are the danger. A zombie is nothing more than an animal because it only knows three main goals being hunt, catch and eat.
The other concept of the story is the internal conflict that everyone must face, whether to hold on to your morals and keep your humanity or sacrifice everything to survive in a world that would eat you alive, literally. The series is up to its fourth season and during that journey, the viewers have loved many characters that would eventually be lost. Some because they hung on to those morals and kept their light in a dark world but others because they went so far off the path they didn't find their way back. It's hard either way, some would even not make a choice and instead of facing the danger head on, they took the easy way out.
This show reminds me of Mad Max because like that franchise, this series is really the same only with zombies thrown into the mix. It's all really about people trying to cope with what's occurred and somehow trying to regain what you would consider a normal life. The problem most characters have is that they can't understand that life can never be. Everything that defines what's human is gone and it's completely uncharted territory. The worst thing also is that the danger is everywhere and like matter, it changes from one form into another.
Who would want to live in a world like that? Where you wake up everyday thinking you might be eaten or killed tomorrow? That you know you'll never again know security and what it means to have happy life. Your friends and family are gone or worse they have been transformed into one of those monsters and you have to put them down so they don't infect others. That you can't trust anyone, that someone you're with may shoot up in the leg to save themselves.
The Walking Dead is a perfect adaptation of the graphic novel and in a way, a real perspective of how people would react if God forbid, a real zombie apocalypse would occur. I won't go into detail about the characters or what's progressed so far because in my opinion, the series deserves your attention. If you rather not then I can't blame you because this show is not for everybody. But I will say in it's defense, this is one of the best written series I've seen on television in a long time. It's gets you in a way most horror movies don't anymore in this day and age.

Grass Is Always Greener.

You have to make sacrifices no matter what profession you're in. For the life of a writer who hasn't made it yet, it's not going out much, at least for me. With piling bills and having to work to full time, it's hard to find time to write. Between my full-time day job and sleep, I only have enough time to do one of two things and that's either have fun by going out or start typing. Most of the time I'm going to be staying at home because until I get it out of my head, I'm going to be haunted and it's going to ruin my night no matter what I'm doing.
People didn't think much of me being successful with academics because I had issues growing up but luckily through medicines and my family I grew out of it. Pretty much because I was a big guy and was strong people tried to get me involved in sports but I was never interested in anything but writing. Every day I wake up I have ideas and I listen to music, putting myself in scenarios depending on the music. One minute, I'm a superhero, next I'm a world class fighter, and sometimes I'm a master criminal. When the song ends I write down what I see and if I can see a story around it, then I start working from there.
I get my inspiration from music, books and movies and they take me places I wish existed in real life. The problem is they don't and that's why I guess I drown myself in imagination. I've heard it's never a good idea to ignore reality but lets face it, reality sucks sometimes. For people like me who take a gamble and put themselves thousands of dollars in debt for an uncertain future and are now working just to stay broke, imagination is all we have. Imagination is the greatest gift human being can in this world because it's what can turn your life around. There are times I wish I didn't have it, that maybe I could just go out.
Most days I wished I had gone for football like everyone thought I should have done or some kind of sport. Personally, there are days I regret going down the path of a writer. The uncertainty, the rough road, but when I look at my work and the people who support me, I realize I couldn't do anything else. My heart isn't into physical activity so I would just be trading my struggle for misery. Sure I would be happy for a short time but in the end, it would all come back to haunt me. I have enough regrets in my life and submitting my dreams is not one of them.
I could go on and be a big time player and get paid all the millions with the big houses sheltering my supermodel wives. Then after it was over and the supermodel jump ship and years of pain catching up with me, you know what I would be thinking? I wish I had just stuck to writing. The point of this blog is simply this. Yes life could be better if I went another way and I would be financially taken care of but in the end, I wouldn't be happy. I never asked for an easy life but when I die I want to say I lived a life I'm proud of, that's what I want.

Anthony Labson

I’m full of pride.

I can’t run from a fight

and I won’t shame my name.

I’ll stand ready to die.

I don’t flinch for a blade

and I don’t fear the sound of a bullet.

A knife is just a tool for use or trade

and a gun is nothing without a digit.

I’ve fought enemies

And I’ve even fought a friend.

The fighting never reached its end and

I would think at times I had an injury.

I’ve never really had a reason to fight

but I never could back down.

Now more than ever all I can wear is a frown

because my love is fading from my sight.

She is the best of me

but we didn’t catch her disease in time.

The heart inside her is mine

So if she goes then I’ll cease to be.

If finally bending my knees saves her

then I do it proudly with no dishonor.

My life without her would just be horror.

It’s should’ve been me that developed that cancer.

Breast Cancer Awareness

For those whom may not know, October is a month known by many things here in the U.S. For some, it's the month for costumes and candy for children to get from other people's houses. Others it's Hispanic Heritage Month which is big down here in Florida where people of different Hispanic origins represent their heritage. But for the most part, it's known for being Breast Cancer Awareness month. Now for those of you that believe that this is just a disease that only affects women and it's just a way to take advantage for profit, you're part of the problem.
For those that believe that it's only women that develop breast cancer, I want you to tell that to the families that have lost fathers, brothers and sons to breast cancer. Men are a rare case for developing breast cancer but the chances are there. Men account for the minimum of the total cases but you ask anyone and they'll tell you that's more than enough chance. Even if it didn't directly affect men, it still affects them emotionally. Knowing the wife he loves or the daughter he raised could be dead because of this disease is a fate worse than death.
Breast cancer doesn't just affect the poor victim who developed it. It also affects the victim's loved ones. People all over this world have lost mothers, sisters, cousins, and daughters to breast cancer and left a scar that can't be healed. If not caught, the damage becomes irreplaceable and families are torn apart at the roots. It's not just a cancer that affects women and you're a fool if you honestly think otherwise but if you think companies really use it to profit off women's suffering, then you're just plain heartless.
The NFL, a multi-billion dollar business dedicates the whole month to promoting awareness by having teams alter their uniforms to be pink. The NFL would make money regardless whether they did it or not so it's not about profit there. Celebrities like Angelina Jolie who has become a symbol for breast cancer awareness after having a double mastectomy. The only profit she saw from that is more respect from everyone around the world. Corporations all over the world are joining the fight because it's the right thing to do.
Is it so hard to believe that we celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness because it's the right thing to do? There have been countless victims to this terrible disease and right now this is the moment of the year we can raise hopes and hopefully one day find a cure. I've been blessed so far to be spared the horror of this disease as the rest of my family. But I've seen the damage it can do and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. It's time to stop thinking it's all about the green because it's really all about the pink.
If you think I'm naïve or you just don't care then that's your choice and in this country, you're entitled to it. Just do me one favor if you can and that's when a few years go by and a cure is found, I want you to go up to your daughter, your wife and yourself. Then I just want you to be thankful because while you didn't care, there were people like me who did. People who did what they could to spread awareness so we could find that cure, so your family wouldn't share the pain others had. We will find that cure.

The Government Shut Down and So Did I.

Sorry, I know I shouldn't have been away for so long to blog but things happened and I feel like explaining myself. First, my most precious instrument, my laptop of 8 years finally started giving out on me so I used my savings and had to get a new one. Also I had to check the status of my copyright application and because of the shutdown, it's still pending. Thankfully since I submitted it before the shut down, it's still safe to proceed with publication of my next EBook. The next thing I had to do is back up all my information and transfer to my new PC.
I'm very happy with it, it's a Dell that was on sale and so I took advantage to upgrade, now writing has been ten times easier and faster on this beautiful piece of machinery. The biggest thing that slowed me down was uploading all my music to my library, I love music. When the muse is upon me and I need something to keep me in the mood, I need music. I listen to almost everything and you be surprised how one song can keep you in the moment when you're writing about something. If you're ever suffering from writer's block then I strongly suggest you give it a try.
My full time job hasn't been helping me either, because of the holidays it's getting busier and I'm working over there a lot more. Until I become a successful author it's what I have to do until one of my EBooks take off. It's not easy but then again, I never asked for an easy life but a life that's worth living. I apologize for taking so much time to write something but now I have a new partner to help me with my writings. I should be getting things done a lot faster and I'm grateful to have the opportunity to continue my work. Stay tuned and Until The Next Is Written.

Confessions Of A Vampire coming to Amazon on October 15th!

A famous killer has risen again but this time the only life he wants to take is his own. The problem with his ambition is that his religious views are in the way of his plan coming to fruition. The killer has a deep religious belief that he needs forgiveness in order to enter Heaven, not because he is a killer, but a vampire as well. A curse that was forced upon him when he was human and made him go into hiding. Now after a century of torment, he has decided to call it quits but not before achieving absolution.

An unlucky priest finds himself meeting the most evil creature he will ever come across as he is forced to listen to his confession. He will listen as this villain reveals intimate details that no history book could’ve ever known about. He will hear his sins and then decide whether he can forgive this man for the evil he has done and the evil he is. Will he help this killer achieve his goals or be victim to a monster’s rage? Will the killer’s belief pay off or is his madness blinding him to the fact that he is beyond redemption.

You will witness how one man’s ambition turns into madness and see how hundreds fell because of his ambition for glory and…revenge. This is a dark tale not meant for anyone young so buy at your own risk. Whether you’re a fan of horror or vampires, this EBook is for you. I hope you deeply enjoy this and after you’re done, take a look at my other works. Until the next is written.

U.S. Government Shuts Down.

Last night the U.S. Government shut down after months of endless debates and deadlock arguments. The last time this happened was 17 years ago and for those whom may not be familiar with the meaning behind this. When the U.S. Government shuts down all that really means is the legislative branch is no longer working. The House and The Senate are unable to come to an agreement so the shutdown was in place to stop funding to the government. Why the shutdown in the first place?
The blame is already going around between the parties. Republicans are blaming the Democrats over their health care law known as "Obamacare" and the money it would cost to fund it. Democrats are blaming Republicans because Republicans don't want to pay for it and are not comfortable with a government run health care system. Overall, it's just one big pile of you know what. Everyone is to blame in this matter, even the American people for allowing this shutdown to happen.
What does this mean for the working class as far as daily duties and obligations? Virtually nothing and that's the main reason nobody seems to care. People never really do care about what's going on around them as long as it doesn't endanger their wallets or their health.  That's what this whole event started over, the money and who was going to be the one who spends it. The only people that are paying for it right now are the American people and right now they're being ripped off.
So what's the answer? I don't know, I'm not a politician and I don't have all the facts, I only know what I'm being allowed to know. The only solution as far as I know is both sides need to get their heads out of their rectums and get over their own personal desires and party interests for the greater good. Don't hold your breath though, I'm sure it will take some time before some compromise will happen. I'm not at all surprised because what do you expect when world's collide?
Two sides fighting for whatever they believe in and I can respect that and whomever you believe is right. I believe however both sides need to grow up and get over themselves. Whether we're paying for national health care or some kind of research, we're paying for something. The U.S. government is like a marriage between two people of different classes. The trick to how they stay together is learning when to compromise and right now that's what this government needs to do.
