The Problem With Waiting

I always heard that everything comes to those who wait. I just wished that someone would tell me how long I have to wait for what I want. I know that Rome wasn't built in a day and that a foundation has to be built on something. The problem is however, you become impatient after a while and begin to wonder if it's worth it. It during these moments you must have the faith to keep on going as long as you can because you honestly believe that there will be a better tomorrow.
Every day I wake up and look at my past I realize that I have to keep going because I've gone so far already, to just quit now would be my biggest regret. I won't lie when I say that I have my doubts about my future but the fact is, I still have faith in my abilities and I know someday it will pay off. When that day will come I'm not sure but again I won't lie. If that day came tomorrow then I would be the happiest man on the planet right now. But my odds point to highly unlikely, so I will keep pushing forward and hopefully one day I will achieve my dream.
I chose a very difficult life to have because I can't imagine doing anything else and I know I have a god given gift for creative writing. I hope to one day call myself a successful author and be recognized as a New York Times Best Seller. Until then...until the next is written.

50 Years After JFK

Tomorrow it will have been 50 years since the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Now for some people it was the end of what was to be a golden age. An age that saw progression and advancement in how we lived and treated each other. When JFK died, it became a terrible beginning of fear and conspiracy of foreign enemies and distrust among our fellow men. The fall of the JFK is a dark moment in our history and worse left a lot of unanswered questions asked by many of Americans that truly believe there’s more to the story than what was told by the government. My purpose of this entry is not to express my belief but to express the importance of the event.
When JFK was president, there were a lot of issues around his presidency such as the Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam, and the fight for Civil Rights. We had Russia fighting with the U.S. to decide which country was the one true super power. Young men were being drafted and instead of going to college, they were being thrown into a war. Old generations were fighting to keep old ideas while a new generation was risking everything for a dream. People were living in fear every day because of a clock they were afraid was going to strike midnight.
Fear was everywhere and nobody knew what was going to happen every day they woke up. In the end of the day, JFK was the one responsible for keeping everyone spirits high and trying to make things right. JFK had his failures such as The Bay of Pigs and there was controversy over being involved in Vietnam but JFK did have his successes. His negotiations and tactics during the Missile Crisis ensured the safety of the U.S. and for the first time hope came to the U.S. The last thing anyone wanted was a nuclear war that would consume the planet and for a brief time, that nightmare faded until that infamous day in Dallas.
JFK’s death only sparked a new fear in people especially when it was found that it was by a lone gunman, Lee Harvey Oswald, who was believed to be a communist. Years later a conspiracy would come forth to suggest otherwise such as the mafia or even the government had him killed. The conspiracy theory only got worse when JFK’s brother, Robert Kennedy was shot and killed while running for office. What the truth is about JFK’s assassination is, I don’t know and I feel we will never know. The truth will always be unknown because there are so many ideas out there about his assassination even if the real truth was exposed, many wouldn’t believe it.
Here is what we all can believe about John F. Kennedy. He is the youngest president this country had and also died the youngest. He wanted to bring this nation to a new age where all this fear was replaced by an idea of acceptance. “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.” That we must accept the fact that there are things going on that are above our own desires. That we must sacrifice what we want to do for what we need to do for the greater good.
That was the idea that was supposed to spread like wildfire but because someone believed different, JFK died before he could even run for re-election. That’s why we remember the assassination of JFK. Whether it was the actions of just one man or the actions of a certain group, one thing remains the same, JFK was killed because of his ideas. People die but ideas don’t have a life line, they can live as long as there is one person that remembers them. That’s the importance of remembering the day we lost JFK.

One Of My Best Poems

The Greatest Pleasure

After years of sleeping

in a box of metal and stone,

I’m free.

Free to indulge in pleasures.

but there is only one pleasure I want.

It’s the greatest pleasure of all.

Will I get a decent hot meal?

Even though it is an upgrade

from the gruel and meatless meatloaf?

No.

Will I sleep outside under the stars?

That for me is like a blind man at an art show.

I wouldn’t know the Pegasus from the Dippers.

The only thing I would appreciate is the extra space.

No.

What about making love to a beautiful woman?

To have my hands on a pair of firm breasts

and be between the smoothest thighs a woman can have.

To be squeezed by them as I dance between them.

Oh, that is indeed a great pleasure,

but not the one I speak of.

The illusions in prison quenched my thirst for lust.

This is not the pleasure I speak of.

The pleasure I speak of

is the only way I could get to a hot meal,

or sleep outside under the stars,

or find the love of a beautiful woman.

The greatest pleasure of all is this.

Now that I am released,

I will go to a motel and get a room.

Then, for the next couple of hours,

I will keep opening and closing my door.

Godzilla returns in 2014!

I'm not a big fans of reboots, everyone that knows me knows that. But I have to say I saw the leaked trailer of the new Godzilla reboot. Don't bother looking for it because it was removed later in the day, the official one should be released soon. I honestly have to say that I couldn't believe that my pulse was racing after I saw the trailer which hasn't happened in a long time even when I saw the trailer for Man Of Steel. The trailer revealed a lot of details that showed it was giving the king of the monsters the justice it deserved on the big screen.
For those of you whom may not follow, Godzilla is a gigantic creature which is mostly reptile who can shoot out a beam of radiated fire. First revealed to the world back in the 1960s, it became a hit here in the United States that spawned the only movie series to rival the other longest lasting film franchise, the 007 movies. I was first exposed to this legendary creature when I was watching television and the film Godzilla 1985 was on. It was the film that brought Godzilla back to life after his debut film over 20 years ago.
I was a boy and at first I was terrified of him but as I kept watching I began to love it. The awesome power and the action was so cool I remember building lego buildings just so I could smash them. Then my parents would come in my room all upset and make me pick up the mess and tell me to stop making that signature roar Godzilla has. I couldn't get enough of the green king of Tokyo as he would battle legendary monsters like Rodan and MechaGodzilla. Oh and who can forget the ultimate protagonist of the Godzilla series, Mothra and his mini twins.
I hope that Warner Bros. releases the official trailer soon because I would really love for all of you to see it and see a terrific resurrection. Godzilla may have started in Japan but in a way he is also an American phenomenon as well. I can't wait with the modern technology being able to deliver the amazing spectacles we see now on the big screen and this is a real serious approach Warner Bros. is taking with the franchise. Godzilla's come back will be more real and more destructive than any we have seen in any film by the franchise ever.

Revised Biography.

Anthony Labson first found his passion in writing at an early age from reading fantasy novels. Finding an escape from the outside world by creating one of his own became his greatest gift. He believes that the ability to create a story out of nothing isn't just a gift but a miracle and it's a miracle he believes was given to him. In a time where everything is being remade, he also believes creativity is at an all time low and so now he has stepped up to bring creativity back to a world that's just sticking to used up ideas.

Anthony Labson began his writing career attending Nova Southeastern University with The Knight Newspaper as a freelance film critic and being published in the NSU magazine Digressions. After graduating in 2008 he frequently self published poetry and prose on networks and gained momentum from readers. In December of 2011 he realized that he had more to offer so now here he is taking the next step to being a recognized author. He is currently self publishing his works hoping to gain attention from readers everywhere and become a successful author.

He strongly believes that the reboots and the remakes are getting old and cliché. The people want to see something fresh and new, not new versions of old ideas. This is his first step and hopefully you will give him the time to see his works and give your feedback. Enjoy and until the next is written.

Battlefield 4 Loses The War

I recently played Electronic Arts and Dice's game Battlefield 4 and was very excited to hear about the good news coming from other gamers. Unfortunately for me, the news was too good to be true in such case. There are several issues I have with the game both in campaign mode and multiplayer issues as well. Being a fan of the last one that came before it, I was looking forward to seeing the new additions to the game. But the new additions just seemed to be unnoticed during the gameplay.
Let start with graphics of the gameplay and cinematic transitions between levels. I give this a lot of leniency because you can't compare Electronic Arts to a company like Infinity Ward which is known for it's attention to detail with the graphics. But playing throughout the campaign I didn't see any improvement when it comes to the transitions, the cinematics are good but they could be better and the look of the guns is about the same. The campaign itself has a strong story following the elite group known as Tombstone but there are issues going through the game. I experienced glitches throughout the game that would cause me to restart from a checkpoint forcing me to redo missions.
One moment I be out on a boat during a sea mission and next I be under the ocean for some reason still driving a boat. Another I was driving a tank and yet I couldn't switch my guns and one time I was climbing a ladder while on an aircraft carrier and somehow I ended up high in the sky falling to my death. The glitches really killed my desire to complete the game but the strong storyline kept me wanting to finish. The other issues I faced with the game was online gameplay.
If there's one thing I wish the franchise would do is better configure a game where gamers can do two things. One is make it easier for parties to get involved with a game instead of having a member join a game and hoping their friends can get in before the server gets full. It's a real frustrating process I found while trying to meet my clan so we could blow something up which is our favorite thing about the game. That's the strong point of the game for people like me who love to see destruction everywhere we turn.
Battlefield is notorious for making environments that are almost completely destructible. Using a variety of weapons and even assault vehicles and aircraft, buildings literally fall after receiving too much damage from the ongoing battle that consumes the map. The second problem however is it will be very complicated for anyone whose never played a Battlefield game to understand how to pick a weapon set and begin the game. I always believed that would be an improvement but for most gamers, this really won't be a problem.
This is just my opinion and if you disagree with me, that's fine but I have to give this game a 7 out of 10. While this game produces non-stop action with multiplayer modes and has a strong story line that keeps the gamer wanting to play, it has issues. Graphics aren't that great compared to others, glitches kill the mood to keep playing, and the multiplayer option could be made more 'party' friendly. This game is worth the buy but I don't think I would have the desire to buy the season pass or keep the game till the next one comes out. If you're one of those dedicated fans of the franchise then I'm sure you will enjoy the game same as the others but to someone who is just a gamer, this will lose your attention.

The Wall on Amazon. A Screenplay that's Original and Creative.

There is a secret society known to many as The Wall. For some, people who are working behind the scenes to maintain order when the law fails those that depend on the system for security. To others, a ruthless group of vigilantes that are taking the laws into their hands and destroying the very image of Justice. A eager reporter gains the opportunity to interview a leader of a Wall cell and during the interview, he listens to tales of members that are different but come together for a disturbing conclusion. In a country where not everyone can get justice because of reasons outside of their control, there is a place to go.

When criminals break the laws and are freed on technicalities and cracks in the system, they soon find that there are no technicalities or no cracks when they face The Wall. Nobody can hide behind a flawed system that protects the rights of those who don't deserve them. The guilty may appear innocent but with resources provided by unknown sources, they all break when they go head on with a society of vigilantes. When the system that's meant to protect the people it serves fails them, how do criminals not expect the people to fight back?

This is my first screenplay that I've written because I like to test my skills and take them to a new level. Everyone loves a person who works outside the lines but let us see how the world reacts when it's a whole society. Could we handle the possibility that there are people who forget about "systems" and "rights" for the "greater good?" Is it worth the risk of falling down the "slippery slope" that we are afraid is going to happen? Buy this EBook and decide for yourself and thank you for your time, until the next is written.
